(Michigan City, IN) - A Michigan City man is accused of stealing a good sum of money on a cash voucher from a slot machine player at a casino.
Keon Stalling, 21, is charged in La Porte Superior Court 4 with Level 6 felony cheating at gambling.
According to court documents, Stalling on October 10 was at Blue Chip Casino when a woman playing a slot machine unknowingly dropped the cash voucher from her lap. There was close to $1,000 on the voucher.
Police said Stalling stepped behind her and picked up the voucher from the floor then soon cashed it before quickly leaving the casino. A short time later, the woman realized her voucher was gone and asked for assistance from casino staff.
Police said the actions of Stalling were captured on surveillance video.
Stalling, who was taken into custody Tuesday, was being held in the La Porte County Jail on $755 bond.
