Sammie Convie Clowers, 68, passed away on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, at Hamilton Communities.

 

He was born on July 5th, 1955, in Chicago, IL, to Convie and Daisy (Stegall) Clowers.

 

Sammie is survived by his 3 siblings, Marilyn (Pete) Bealor, Dale (Fem) Clowers, and Betty (Gary) Huston, all of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Convie and Daisy Clowers; niece, Paula Bealor; and significant other, Karen Thome.

 

Sammie was a security guard for many years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and other various stringed instruments. Sammie enjoyed feisty conversations with his beloved sisters and brother.

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
